The game developer Konami began streaming the first episode in the Busou Shinki Moon Angel series of weekly anime shorts on Wednesday. The original story anime is based on Konami's Busou Shinki line of armed female action figures.
The story follows the coming of age and Shinki battles of Tsubasa, a boy who dreams of becoming a Shinki Master, and his Shinki partner Arnval Mk. 2 (Kana Asumi). Minori Chihara plays another Busou Shinki named Strarf Mk. 2.
The figure line inspired the first Busō Shinki Battle Masters PSP action-adventure game, which shipped in Japan last July. The figure line's second videogame, Busou Shinki Battle Masters Mk. 2, will launch on September 22 (after being delayed by three weeks).
