The official website for the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled anime began streaming a 99-second trailer on Monday.
The website also began streaming a 15-second commercial
and a 30-second commercial, presented a new piece of visual art, revealed
information about the onstage greetings by the cast and staff at the opening
weekend of the first installment's theatrical run, and offered the synopsis of
the first installment.
The spinoff anime's first installment, "Yokuryū wa
Maiorita," (The Wyvern Has Landed), will open in theaters in Japan on
August 4.
Kazuki Akane (Escaflowne) is helming the latest Code
Geass anime project at Sunrise. As in the previous two television series,
Takahiro Kimura is adapting Clamp's original character designs for animation. Akira
Yasuda is also returning to design the mechanical Nightmare units. The anime
studio Sunrise, the previous Code Geass director Goro Taniguchi, and the
previous series script supervisor Ichiro Okouchi are credited with the original
story.
