Macross SP Cross Deculture to be BNDeNA's 1st release in Japan this Spring
News via AnimeNewsNetwork
BDNA, the joint venture between the publisher Namco Bandai Games and the social game company DeNA, announced on Tuesday that it will release its first title, Macross SP Cross Deculture, this spring. The venture, which was first revealed in August, also announced that it will change its name to BNDeNA.
The tentatively titled social game will not be a casual game which can be played with one button, but a game that incorporates both shooting and action elements. It will use the Unity game engine for 3D graphics. For the movements of the singer characters, the game will use the same "Live2D" animation feature that Namco Bandai has used in Haruhi Suzumiya, Oreimo, Haganai, and Tokimeki Girl's Side games to animate 2D graphics as if they were 3D.
The game will be released on the social game platform Mobage, and certain items will require payment. 4Gamer posted the only released screenshot in higher resolution.
